I am an abstract artist and technologist. I explore the relationship between humans, machines and the environment through paintings, interactive and light installations, and other wall based media.
I am interested in the harmony and the tension between the digital and physical in our lives, and my paintings are influenced by the cultural artifacts, memories and shapes of the modern world. I am fascinated by our love/hate/excitement/fear of technology: something we use every day, become addicted to, but also fear will destroy creativity, jobs and our lives.
I work with how the perfection of code then becomes imperfect when it transforms into the physical through analogue processes, building physical and digital tools to realise this goal.
In a world where we are surrounded by algorithms and cold, digital purity, my work aims to show how breaking this perfection gives rise to interest, emotion and intent.
