George Henry Rowe is an emerging contemporary artist and technologist. He explores the relationship between humans, machines and the environment through paintings, building auto-painting robots, and interactive installations: the harmonies and the tensions created between them.

As an artist, George’s work often features algorithmically created yet simple repeating patterns, which then in paintings come alive through the interaction of thick layers of a custom blend of printing pigments and mediums. He is interested in how the perfection of code created computer work is then made messy and more interesting when it becomes analogue, when physicalised through creation by a machine and a human.
