George Henry Rowe is an abstract artist and technologist. He explores the relationship between humans, machines and the environment through paintings, interactive and light installations, and other wall based media.

He is interested in the harmonies and the tensions created between the digital and physical in our lives, influenced by the cultural artifacts, memories and shapes of the modern world. George works with data from sound, calculations, and movement, and explores how it can be brought into a physical creative process to add new perspectives.

As a painter, he explores the possibilities of combined human and computer creation, combining custom built digital and physical tools and traditional painting techniques. The focus is not on the technology but the human intention. He is fascinated in how the perfection of code created work is then made imperfect and more meaningful when it becomes physicalised through analogue processes.
