George Henry Rowe is an artist and creative technologist based in Bristol, UK. George’s process mixes digital, code created patterns and algorithms with analogue media. His work explores how the precise becomes imperfect when physicalised with acrylic paint, ink, how the repetitive accuracy of a drawing robot can be impacted by human intervention, and how humans interact with physical work with sensors, XR, and screens.
George’s artworks often involves the collision between the human and computer worlds, how numbers and statistics impact and are influenced by nature/nurture, and finding the the hidden beauty in the geometries of normal things. He creates paintings, drawings, and interactive installations, drawing on his work in video games, generative art, and storytelling.
