This is the culmination of months of development of a new process examining my relationship with technology as an artist.
What does it mean to create, in an age where creation is becoming easier and easier, and where everything we do creates some sort of trace? Where does the intention come from, how do we separate the human created from the other – or should we?
We all leave these traces layered everywhere in the increasingly digital world: repetitive, constant, tracked. But it is we who are in control of what we leave – we add the messy, the analogue, the imprecise, and this humanises the trace – a footprint, not a byte.
